Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Family Pass. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Family Pass (“we”, “us”, the “Service”) is a password and secrets manager available at pass.sigvark.dev, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY OR OPERATOR NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. You can contact us at [support@your-domain].
2. The Service
Family Pass lets you store, organise, and share secrets such as logins and passwords. The sensitive contents of your secrets are encrypted in your browser before they reach us, so we cannot read them. The Service is provided for personal and household use.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password and devices secure.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Encryption, recovery, and the limits of what we can do
Because your secrets are encrypted with keys derived from material we cannot read, there are real limits to the help we can offer:
- We cannot see, recover, or reset the contents of your secrets for you.
- The Service is designed to keep your vault accessible after a password reset. This is a convenience feature and depends on our systems remaining intact; it is not a guarantee.
- You are responsible for maintaining your own access. We strongly recommend you keep an independent backup of any critical information.
5. Sharing
The Service lets you share secrets with other users. When you share a secret, you authorise us to make it accessible to the people you choose. You are responsible for who you share with and for the consequences of doing so. We are not party to, and not responsible for, what shared recipients do with information you give them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store unlawful content;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
- probe, scan, overload, or disrupt the Service, or circumvent its security or rate limits;
- reverse engineer or copy the Service except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- use the Service to infringe anyone's rights or to store data you have no right to hold.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to the data you store in Family Pass. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process, and display that data so we can provide the Service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and share the information you put into the Service.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be free of bugs, security vulnerabilities, or data loss. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under applicable law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to [the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or a stated cap]. Mandatory liability under applicable law — for example for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence — is unaffected.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [country / jurisdiction], without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. Disputes will be subject to the courts of [competent courts], again without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights.
